
Kanchanpur – Kanchanpur has officially been declared a fully immunized and vaccination sustainability district, following the successful vaccination of all children aged 15 to 59 months with 13 types of vaccines, as per the national immunization schedule.
At an event organized by the District Immunization Coordination Committee, Sudurpashchim Province’s Minister for Social Development, Meghraj Khadka, made the announcement on Thursday. He emphasized that no child should be left behind in vaccination efforts, and that the campaign must reach full completion.
Out of the total, 229 children who had previously missed their routine vaccines were successfully vaccinated, bringing the total to 23,093 children who are now fully immunized in the district.
Durga Datt Bohara, coordinator of the District Immunization Coordination Committee, confirmed that the declaration was made after meeting the target of administering all 13 vaccines to eligible children aged 16 to 59 months under the national immunization schedule.
